You can restore and update firmware with MediaTek’s SP Flash Tool
SP Flash tool download links (Mediatek tool for flashing builds, no Mac version)
Linux: SP_Flash_Tool_v6.2228_Linux.zip
Windows: SP_Flash_Tool_v6.2316_Win.zip
Flashing Procedure
Extract the firmware zip and open SP Flash Tool V6.
Ensure the operation dropdown menu is set strictly to "Download Only".
Under the Download-XML field, click Choose and load flash_signedDA.xml from the firmware directory.
Under the Authentication File field, click Choose and load authsv5_jagar.auth from the same firmware directory.
Check the Auto Reboot box.
Optional Step to preserve data: In the partition table checklist, scroll down and de-select the userdata partition.
Unchecking this prevents SP Flash Tool from overwriting the partition or destroying existing encryption metadata.
Click the Download button in SP Flash Tool.
Connect the DC-1 over USB to initiate the flashing sequence and allow the write process to finish completely.
The unit will reboot automatically upon completion. If it does not, hold down the top-right power button until the Daylight boot splash appears.
